eTap and Proto launch kiosk-to-AI assistant solution for Filipino financial institutions

Proto – the leader in localised AI Customer Experience (AICX) solutions for emerging markets – has partnered with eTap, the Filipino fintech behind the country’s most widely used self-service payment kiosks used by Pay N' Go, ECPay, and GCash.

This partnership follows eTap’s successful deployment of the Proto AICX Platform to automate customer support across its kiosk and digital channels – now powering real-time assistance for transactions, account inquiries, and troubleshooting in Filipino languages. Read about the deployment here.

As both a client and strategic partner, eTap will now bundle the AICX Platform into a new turnkey offering for financial institutions. This bundled solution – combining self-service hardware, AI-powered chat, and live representative escalation – is designed to streamline the financial customer experience across urban and rural retail points.

This new partnership adds to Proto’s growing AICX presence in the Philippines, where deployments include the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) for automated consumer complaint resolution, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for managing over 4.6 million citizen interactions annually, and private sector leaders such as The Medical City Clinic (TMCC) and Universal Storefront Services Corporation (USSC).
