Proto and Hanley Group partner to bring AI agent workflows to South Africa

Proto and Hanley Group have signed a partnership agreement to bring Proto’s AI agent platform to institutions and businesses across South Africa.

Hanley Group is a South African technology company that supplies hardware and connectivity, including bringing internet access and technology infrastructure to rural schools across the country. That work has given it established relationships across South Africa’s public and private sectors.

Bringing AI agents to South Africa

As Proto’s partner in South Africa, Hanley Group will introduce Proto’s AI agent platform to organisations across the public and private sectors. Proto’s AI agents handle complaints, customer and citizen enquiries, and scam reporting for regulators and service providers – in local languages, through the channels people already use.

The partnership brings hardware and software together. Hanley Group supplies the devices and connectivity organisations need to get online; Proto provides the AI agents that run on top. Organisations can work with one partnership for both, rather than sourcing and integrating each separately.

The partnership builds on Proto’s deployments with financial regulators and institutions in Namibia, Rwanda and Mozambique, and follows Proto’s partnership with MCS Security Solutions to expand AI agent reach across Southern Africa.
