Proto, the leader for multilingual contact centre automation in emerging markets has partnered with Eclectics, a pan-African Fintech and systems integrator that serves 264+ financial institutions across 26 countries.
‘’In particular, Eclectics and Proto recognized the demand from banks and small lenders for chat-based banking services with support for local languages across popular messaging tools, such as WhatsApp and SMS in a bid to reach out to the financially excluded’’. Proto CEO Curtis Matlock said: “This partnership with Eclectics comes at the right time for Proto, as we invest $1M in our Africa HQ and deploy conversational AI solutions with financial regulators in several key markets, such as Rwanda and Ghana. With Eclectics, we aim to deliver this technology to financial service providers across Africa as efficiently as possible.”
The partnership’s first client deployment, a pioneering microfinance bank in the developing world and several other lined up banks, will be announced in the coming weeks.
